A baby fought to survive to be a boy.
The boy became a man,
and a Man became a warrior.
This young warrior fought to be King.
Still, this wasn\u2019t enough.
He ventured North.
From field to hill and hill to mountain.
He fought the cold; he fought the snow.
Still, this wasn\u2019t enough.
As North as the world had, he built his tower.
Block by block.
Stone by stone.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He raged on and waged war
until all was within his reach.
The King of all Kings.

Still, this wasn’t enough.
He brought forth his scholars,
muses, lords, and ladies.
History was written, songs were sung,
and people bowed.
Still, this wasn’t enough.

He built the tower ever higher
into the clouds and touched the sky.
He yelled to the Gods to make him eternal.
Their reply of silence was deafening.
Even as the King of Kings,
he was just a mere mortal,
he knew he would crumble and fade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

His tower would fall,
History would turn to legend,
and other songs would be sung.
The lords and ladies would continue to bow,
but not to him.
No matter where he was,
he could never escape.
He clawed at the ceiling.
He clawed at the floor.
His life boxed him in.
The King of Kings grew mad.
All those would go, and left alone, he sat.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In a raging war, a woman was found.
She fought to survive.
She bowed to kings who fell.
She watched as brick and stone moved North.
She heard the King of Kings had touched the sky.
That in doing so, the Gods cursed him mad.
She sorrowed, linked in heartbreak.
This couldn’t be it.
She ventured North.
From field to hill and hill to mountain.
She fought the cold; she fought the snow.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

She came to the tower.
By now, laid deserted and bare.
She gazed at the sky.
The shimmering green light
seemed to flow around the tower.
As she watched, she saw a glimmer of light.
She ran up the stairs.
The sun rose and set.
Over and over, it went until
she reached the top step.
She fell to the floor.
Drained.
Tired.
She thought, “this couldn’t be it.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n


<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Man, King of Kings, stood in awe.
His curse was broken by the sound of her voice.
At that moment, the King of Kings became more.
He gazed at the sun; he spoke to the stars.
He knew his escape.
He knew the meaning.
He kissed her again as he carried her down.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

They went south, out of the snow.
From mountain to hillside,
and from hillside to the never-ending fields.
They found a place unnamed where no one knew.
A cabin they built. He held her close.
His lips touched hers, and he and she became one.
A question was proposed.

She smiled; I do.
A boy and girl joined them in the world.
A simple life to call his own.
He held them close as he kissed his wife.
Gazing towards the sun, through the journey, he finally found his enough.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
