It was the most beautiful thing you could ever see. Crafted by the Gods they said. Its very splendor was enhanced by the hundreds of flawless stones that adorned it. Rubies, diamonds, and gems sparkled as if they were the stars in the heavens above. Gifted as a treasure, warned never to be opened. A perfect prism. A hidden prison. Pandora questioned, Curiosity answered. The temptation allowed. What harm would come with just a peek?
… Sins unleashed! Evil and Hate filled the air!
Death and despair crawled and spread. A gasp! A horror! The beauty faded, cracked and crumbled. The gems darkened… She cried, “Oh what, what have I done?!” The jar, a box of nightmares unleashed. The world burned. Tears fell. A sparkle. A shimmer. Something reflected in the void that once was… A shard of hope was all that remained in the dark.
